Anthony Honeine '24, National Merit Scholar Finalist

The National Merit Scholarship Program is a highly competitive academic competition that recognizes and honors students for their outstanding academic accomplishments. Finalists are selected based on their exceptional scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), academic record, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and community involvement.

Anthony has demonstrated exemplary academic performance throughout his high school career, maintaining a rigorous course load while excelling in various subject areas. He has consistently displayed a strong passion for learning and a remarkable ability to tackle challenges with determination and perseverance.

In addition to his academic achievements, Anthony has been actively involved playing piano and trombone, serves as co-captain of the FRC Robotics Team, earned a blackbelt in Taekwondo at age 10, and recently presented at the Buffalo Data Science Conference.  He has made significant contributions to our school community and embodies the values of leadership, integrity, and excellence.  Kelly Jorgensen, Director of College Counseling remarks, “Anthony’s inquisitive nature drives him to delve deep into subjects that intrigue him, and his thirst for new knowledge is insatiable. Anthony’s willingness to share his experience, skills and knowledge with others that sets him apart. His enthusiasm to learn and his eagerness to share is truly genuine.  This is the type of person and student that Anthony is.  His curiosity to learn more and all he can is overshadowed only by his generosity."

 Congratulations, Anthony!
