Campus Life

Bright Place Program

Bright Place provides our Middle School students with a quiet, nurturing, and structured place to do homework, work on a computer, or hang out with other students.

Students who are not taking the bus or being picked up before 4:00 p.m. are given a half-hour after school ends (3:30-4:00 p.m.) to talk with friends and gather their books and homework. After 4:00 p.m., all Middle School students remaining on campus who are not involved in a sport, afterschool program, or club are required to be in Bright Place. Bright Place is available to students every day from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the MS library.

A snack is provided. Student accounts are charged once a month for this service; the rate is $4.00 per half-hour, but there is a 15-minute grace period with no charge for students who are waiting for their parents to pick them up from an afterschool club, sport, or activity.

Should you need to reach Ann Figueroa in Bright Place between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m., please call 716-332-5131.
