What Keeps a Teacher for 30+ Years? Meet Christine Roach
Nichols School
When Christine Roach started teaching fifth grade at Nichols in 1990, she had no idea she was starting a career that would span more than three decades in the same place. Today, she is one of our faculty's longest-tenured members, a teacher and coach who has watched generations of students arrive as curious 10-year-olds and cross the graduation stage as Nichols graduates. In our first Faculty Spotlight of the school year, Christine reflects on what makes Nichols the right fit for so many different types of students, the colleagues who make it a special place to teach, and why watching students grow never gets old.
