Becky Braungart

Rebecca (Becky) Braungart has joined us as Director of Technology and Innovation. She will oversee the IT Department and Libraries and lead academic technology innovations.   

Becky earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at Buffalo State and her master's degree from Canisius College in Educational Technologies and Emerging Media in 2018. Becky started her career teaching English in the Middle School at Nardin Academy in 2012. During her time at Nardin, she transitioned into educational technology, first as an Integration Specialist, where she supported faculty interested in bringing more tech into their classroom and was eventually promoted to the Director of Innovation and Education Technology.

Becky is certified as a Level 2 Google Certified Educator and a member of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). ISTE is a ‘non-profit organization that seeks to promote the integration of technology in teaching and learning. ISTE’s goal is to improve technology use in schools worldwide by using best practices associated with learning and technology to create high-impact, sustainable, scalable, and equitable learning experiences for all learners.’

In her spare time, Becky enjoys traditional Irish step dance and culture, reading, writing, travel, health & fitness, various outdoor activities
